Golden Crowned Kinglet

I first spotted this lovely little tiny bird when looking at the Mountain Chickadee.. Having seen the Ruby Crowned Version the day previously, I was super excited to see the Golden Crowned Kinglet!!

It flitted around a few minutes, then took off..

Through us getting lost, we ended up on the horse trail, where we discovered not one, not two, but a good half dozen of these little guys flitting around a fallen tree!

I think this one is my fav!

And this little guy (ok a bit blurry) had the most marvelous orange at the end of his golden crown!!
