Snow Games

All the snow is becoming a giant playground for the kitties... they have places to jump without getting hurt, mountains to climb, falling things to chase.. its great! (for them).. it is also a giant slide!!

Nature in the Snow

Went out for a drive in the snow.. discovered it probably wasnt the best time to try to get some nature photography done..
Spotted a few groups of Horned Lark.. doesnt this one look thrilled?

and a couple groups of deer on bales..

Wandering by the snow.. saw a little shine.. an adorable little snowflake glinting in the sun!

Snowy Trees

Some of the trees escaped snow altogether.. some, like this one, got COVERED!

This one seems to have avoided most of the snow... pretty branches..

Stalking 102... Advanced Lessons..

First Step - Find yourself a hole... An appropriate sized one... note, this hole is just a bit too small..

Perfect size!! (Footprints).. Who cares if there is another one in front of you! the Stalk is on!!

Prey is in sight!! (See kitty in the front?? Doesnt Suspect a thing!)

and... WHAM!! Surprised from behind by the kitty that nobody was expecting!!

Methinks he aced the course!!

Snowflakes Galore

Went out, determined that I was going to take some snowflake pictures.. after running around, looking on windows and mirrors.. 

I discovered.. THE RAILING!!!  It was nice and black, and snowflakes showed up perfectly!!

So I murdered dozens of helpless snowflakes to get that perfect canvas... and these are my favs!
