Yard Birds - May 8 and 9

We have been having a lot of sparrows around lately.  Among others- House, Savannah, Harris, and these:

This is a pretty little Vesper Sparrow,


The beautiful little Chipping sparrow


and my Favorite White Crowned Sparrow


Not Sparrows, but Brown Headed Cowbirds have been making themselves well known.. Chasing off everything..


And we have a couple drumming Sapsuckers as well!

      Really? we have about 4-6 around.. had 2 juveniles too last year, so they must have nested close by..

    I find I.Ding sparrows a challenge but with patience and if they just sit still...;)

      they are tough eh? some are nice and obvious, but especially if you have an odd angle or something, makes em especially tough
