Great Horned Owl - Up close

So, I got this awesome new camera.. not a big one, but one that lets me do this -





This is a Great Horned Owl that a friends son found injured on the side of the road.. She had it until she could bring it in to a wildlife vet.  On the other side of chicken wire, My big camera had a bit of difficulty to focus..

And a Pretty Swallowtail butterfly that I FINALLY caught up with!

    Excellent photos, Alaina. I love owl faces. Butterflies are uncooperative subjects, aren't they. Nice shot.

      Thank you!! and yes, the butterflies were quite horrible.. ive been chasing them around for like 3 weeks now.. LOL..
