Finicky Felines

So I was out this past week, trying to get some good shots of my kitties in the gorgeous sunshine...  out of like 60 shots I took, there was like 5 where they were looking AT me.. the rest looked like this:

They were more difficult then I thought to photograph! I was all about the pretty.. and I forgot about the Roll-y...

Finally decided to put them into something.. Worked a lot better!!

As I said, I am doing a 52 week challenge.. the first object I chose was a teacup and saucer .. posted some pictures a few weeks ago, but here are some more!

52 Week Challenge!

I have decided to try a 52 Week challenge.. Every week I shall take pictures of a different object.. I'm gonna try to do all Still Life, but after 52 weeks I might run out of ideas.. Be prepared to see some mundane items photographed on here!

DO you have ideas on what I should try to photograph? Any everyday objects you would like to see highlighted? Please, let me know!!

As I take them, I will try to keep track of what week I am on ( I know I started a bit late)..

Full Wolf Moon

Went out this evening before it got too chilly.. Gorgeous "Full Wolf Moon".

A 2 Cat Post

Outdoor kittens have been staying indoors with all the cold we have been having... this was right before the chill hit..  (And this was the mighty bird hunter)

Mouse is the large indoor kitty... she shows pretty good camouflage against the carpet, even when showing off her orange belly!

Our kittens have discovered the BIRDS.. unfortunately, for day 1, they had the mighty black hunter there with em..
This little guy on his own figured out where the birds were... then he got distracted.. think he was actually eating the bird seed...

The birds at this point were taking turns dive bombing his head..lol..

Decided to try some Still Life photography (keep myself amused since I dont feel like going outside to take pictures).. Got this Gorgeous Teacup and Saucer from chris (Borrowed)...

Some more of the pictures from Kenosee - The very abundant Black Capped Chickadee!!  These guys were everywhere..

And more Chickadees.. this guy is very carefully holding a sunflower seed..

White Breasted Nuthatch..  I gotta say, they have the most awesome call.. Gorgeous little one.. wish I had been able to get more shots!

How to Spot a Creeper ( A Brown Creeper that is)

So there we were, looking for new birds.. and I spotted something moving!! It couldnt be... Yes, Yes... a Brown Creeper!!
Now, for the non birders out there.. Just to show you what a difficulty this was... This is a tree trunk with the creeper hiding.. Zoomed quite in, you can Just see the feathers!

I got lucky, and spotted him going up the tree, with the white belly quite visible.. Unfortunately I looked away for a SPLIT SECOND... and lost it.. never did spot it again..

The Many Faces of Deer

While in Kenosee on Sunday, we came across deer after deer after deer!! They let us get quite close, so I was able to get some pretty decent shots!!
This group of 3 looked like they were sharing secrets...
