Not the Bees Knees?

Well, I THOUGHT it was a pretty bee.. until I got closer!! Some sort of bee fly but I have no clue on the type!!

An Ugly name for a Pretty flower

After HOURS and HOURS of trying to figure out what this teeny tiny flower was, I came across some weird and obscure reference from Illinois that named it - Indian Tobacco!!

While I wouldnt call it the prettiest name out there, some of the alternatives are worse - Gagroot, Bladderpod, Vomitwort, Eyebright, Pukeweed, Asthma Weed......

I happen to call it the BAT flower.. I mean.. Look at it!!

Pretty in Pink Wildflowers

Prairie Coneflower is a kind of odd flower all the way around.. Also known as long-headed coneflower.

Great Blanketflower .. I love this one!!   This one was just starting, so none of the orange in the petals really showed up.

White-ish Wildflowers

Some more wildflowers (I said lots would be coming didn't I?)  These ones are white (or off white) in colour.

This pretty one appears to be the white version of Sweet-Clover!

This one appears to be Common Yarrow (grasshopper thing not included) - This one also seems to be edible!

Purple flowers Galore!!! (Yes, now I am sorting them by colour lol)

This one appears to be some form of Vetch, not 100% sure on the type though (there are so many!!)

Common Evening Primrose

Came across these beauties on the side of the road.. I had never seen them before!! Very Interesting looking.. Apparently they bloom mostly in the evening, so for us to see them around noon is kinda cool!!

Not long after we found them for the first time, we ended up spotting a field full!! Very awesome indeed!

This Old House

I love coming across old houses!
This one in particular is a new favourite of mine..

It has incredible stone work detailing all the way around...

Although the step has shifted a bit, it is still beautiful!!
