First Saw this duo.. the young one was quite small!! They spent the day going around us..

This duo was quite funny.. the one kept hiding behind the tree

then craning around to see me.. lol..

Gone Squirrely

After Birding on Feb 16th, Headed Home, and spotted this guy right by the road! There was a 2nd one at the top of the telephone pole..

The Eyebrows Have it

When I went to visit Steph, I discovered she had the most amazing farm cat - one with Eyebrows!!!

Quite Skittish (as was wild) but absolutely gorgeous! Also had a mostly black tail, and black spots on the feet.. cute!!

Birding for Blue Jays..

Went out to Kenosee with 2 Fellow Birders.. on the way up, saw a flock of these lovely grouse!

After meeting up, we all got into my vehicle, and headed off! On the way, spotted this moose right in town!

Also Spotted White Breasted Nuthatch, a Downy Woodpecker, and some Redpolls!

Everywhere we went There were Black Capped Chickadees... Very Hungry Chickadees!!

Great Backyard Bird Count - Feb 16

Went out to Kenosee to look for birds for the bird count.. Had an unwilling accomplice in Steph (Terrys Cousin)

First, we saw Pine Grosbeak!

One of 3 White Breasted Nuthatch.. were not shy at all!

Blue Jays!! They were being fed for us.. and were everywhere!!

Black Capped Chickadees were quite abundant

Also Spotted Magpie, Ravens and back at Stephs, we found a whole bunch of Pigeons!!  (Some interesting colours too!)

And Back at home saw some Common, Hoary Redpoll, and a Hairy Woodpecker!

Hoarfrost Galore

Friday Feb 8 saw a bunch of incredible fog, which left us with a ton of hoarfrost on everything! Went out early Saturday morning, and found all kinds of pretty things... Not just the trees!

A Little Angel..

When the Sun Rises...

Gorgeous sunrise on Feb 9.. Shone gorgeously off the hoarfrost

The trees slowly changed colours and shone

And of course a Sunset from the day before..

Kenosee Deer... and a Squirrel!!

Went out to Kenosee on Feb 9th... Didnt see as many deer as last time, but spotted this youngster who was not afraid at all!
